terms and conditions

The Event

  1. Your themed party package will consist of party games, activities, birthday tea, invitations, goody bags and entertainers. The entertainers dress in a theme related costume for the majority of our events and children are encouraged to do the same. There will be plenty of photographic opportunities – so don’t forget the camera.
  2. Because our birthday parties are based on a schedule they work best when all guests arrive at the same time. Any child who arrives late will join the party at whatever stage it has progressed to as we will be unable to back-track on any activity that has already taken place.
  3. We recommend that you arrive approximately 10 minutes before the start of your party in order to familiarise yourself with the surroundings.  Please do not arrive any earlier than this as we may still be organising the venue for your event.

Responsibilities

  1. The company’s role within the event is to entertain the children fully and to ensure they have a memorable occasion. The children at the party will however, remain your responsibility.
  2. You must inform us of the first names of the children that will be attending the event on the guest list provided for you, a minimum of 7 days prior to the event in writing or by email so that the company can personalise the activities that will take place. The company is unable to take names over the telephone, as it is important that the names are spelt correctly.
  3. You or another responsible adult will need to assist with any child wishing to use the cloakroom facilities, becoming distressed or unwell during the event. If a child becomes disrespectful or unruly and does not want to join in with the party they will need to be attended to by you, or another responsible adult, and it may be necessary for them to sit out of the party so as not to disturb the other children. Running around the venue, corridor and shop is discouraged in order to avoid unnecessary accidents. When compiling your guest list do think twice before inviting a child who you anticipate could be disruptive during the party, as in our experience this could upset the enjoyment and co-ordination of your event.
  4. The kitchen area is for staff only, however you will be asked to use this facility to cut the birthday cake and wrap individual portions for each guest during the latter part of the party. The corridor must be free from obstruction at all times as it is in constant use by the hostesses and kitchen staff, so please encourage your family members to take a seat during the event.
  5. You must inform us prior to the event about any child attending that has any allergies or intolerances towards certain types of food, make-up and glue. The company will use their reasonable endeavours to make any necessary accommodations but reserves the right on grounds of health and safety to refuse that the child in question, be allowed to participate at the event.

Your Party Guests

  1. Please have them arrive on time as we have a structured party plan to follow.  The first 10 minutes of the party is usually taken up with the arrival of the children, our registration process of those in attendance and the application of name badges.
  2. The children’s parents cannot stay for the duration of the party as we do not have adequate facilities for extra numbers.  This will avoid distraction to the children who will engage in our activities much better without interference from their parents, and to keep background noise levels low.  We strongly advise that you only invite children who you know will be happy to be left without a parent present, as they do at pre-school and school. Your guests will be notified of this regulation in their invitation.
  3. We are only able to accommodate a maximum of 5 adults in the seated viewing area and you and your immediate family will take priority over this.
  4. Children aged under the age of 3 are not allowed in the venue for insurance purposes (this however excludes any young sibling of the birthday child as you will be on hand to supervise them).

Payment

  1. The cost of the party will be at the current rate at the time of booking. Our events are priced and scheduled for children over the age of three years old. If you wish for a higher number to attend then each extra child will incur an additional charge. If a sibling of the birthday child, under the age of three is expected to participate, they are very welcome but will need to be included in the final RSVP count.
  2. If you advise us on your guest list that more than 20 children will be attending, and fewer children than expected turn up, then the additional children will still have to be paid for as the company would have arranged the event for a higher number.
  3. If you wish for fewer than 20 children to attend, this is acceptable however the cost of the party remains the same.
  4. A £50.00 deposit is required on booking to secure your events date and time. This deposit is non-refundable, however it can be transferred to an alternative date should your need arise as long as you notify the company no less that three weeks prior to the event, in writing.
  5. The balance of the event can be paid off in instalments if you prefer, but must be paid in full no later than 7 days prior to the event. We do not accept cheques.

Cancellation

  1. In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your booking the deposit paid will be non-refundable. Any booking cancelled less than 21 days prior to the event will be liable for payment in full due to the venue being booked out for your sole purpose at that specific time.
  2. The company reserves the right to cancel your event if your final guest list is not received 7 days prior to the event.
  3. The company shall be entitled to cancel your booking at any time and for any reason. In the event that the company decides to cancel your booking in such circumstances it shall use its reasonable endeavours to notify you as soon as possible. You shall be entitled to a full refund in the event of cancellation under this clause of any monies already paid.
  4. No compensation shall be paid on cancellation.

Liability

  1. The company and its employees shall not be responsible for the loss, or damage of or to any property or to any person arising out of or in connection with the booking or of participation in one of the company's events.
  2. Nothing contained in these terms and conditions is intended to nor shall it limit the liability of the company in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the company or of its employees.

  2. The terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and both the company and the customer submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales
